A. DDFO MassPAC is a Dunkin’ Donuts Franchise Owners
Massachusetts Political Action Committee. DDFO MassPAC
is essentially a bank account that contains personal
contributions from Dunkin’ Donuts Franchise Owners and
their family and friends.
Q. Why Do Dunkin’ Donuts Franchise Owner need DDFO
MassPAC?
A. Dunkin’ Donuts Franchise Owners need DDFO MassPAC to
compete with big labor, trial attorneys and other
organizations that contribute hundreds of thousands of
dollars annually to help elect candidates in
Massachusetts who support increased government
regulation and laws that cause additional legal
liability for small businesses.
Q. How does the Massachusetts campaign finance law
affect DDFO MassPAC?
A. The Massachusetts campaign finance reform law makes
it virtually impossible for business corporations and
organizations to help elect candidates without a
well-funded political action committee. DDFO MassPAC
will provide financial support to candidates who support
a free enterprise legislative agenda that is pro-small
business.
Q. What kind of contributions can DDFO MassPAC
accept?
A. By law, PAC’s can only accept personal contributions.
Corporate contributions are illegal.
Q. What is a political action committee?
A. A political action committee is an account that gives
contributors a way to pool the resources to support
candidates for elective office. In Massachusetts,
Political action committees are authorized by the Office
of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF).
Q. What kind of candidates does DDFO MassPAC support?
A. DDFO MassPAC supports candidates who embrace a free
enterprise, free market economy, a common-sense, limited
approach to government regulation of small businesses,
and a commitment to the small business community.
Q. Who decides which candidates to support?
A.
Presently, the DDFO MassPAC Chairman, Robert
Branca. However, we would like to establish
a committee of dedicated people to do the work of the
PAC and to make these important decisions. If you
are willing and able to make this commitment, please

Q. How can DDFO MassPAC make a difference?
A. It takes tens of thousands dollars to mount
successful campaigns for election to the Massachusetts
House and Senate, and DDFO MassPac provides the Dunkin
Donuts Franchise Owners community with the ability to
pool resources to help elect qualified, pro-business
candidates to promote and protect the business community
on Beacon Hill.
Q. How much can someone give to DDFO MassPAC?
A. The Contributions limits are as follows:

An individual may contribute up to an aggregate of $500,
including in-kind contributions, to a PAC in a
calendar year. Spouses can also contribute $500.

An individual under age 18 is limited to a total of $25 in
political contributions to all candidates and PACs
in a calendar year.

A PAC not accept any contribution, including an in-kind
contribution of goods, services, equipment,
personnel, facilities or the like, from a business
corporation, including a professional corporation,
or from any association or organization comprised in
whole or in part of business corporations or
professional corporations.
Q. How much
should someone give to DDFO MassPAC?
A. How important is your business and your livelihood to
you, your family, your employees and your community? If
your business is important, you should contribute as
much as possible to DDFO MassPAC.
Q. How often can one give?
A. One can contribute as often one wants, as long as one
does not exceed the $500.00 contribution limit during
any calendar year.
